Privacy Policy

Kelly Mattiello Sex Therapy is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected when you visit this website, contact me, or engage in therapy services.

Kelly Mattiello is a UK-based psychosexual and relationship therapist and acts as the Data Controller under UK data protection law. Personal data is handled in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you become a client, you will receive a separate Therapy Agreement explaining in more detail how your information is used during therapy.

How Personal Information Is Collected and Used

When you contact me through this website or by email, I collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to share so I can respond to your enquiry and arrange appointments.

For booking sessions, I may use tools such as Google Calendar. Online appointments will take place via Google Meet, although Zoom or Microsoft Teams can be used at your request. These services process personal data such as your name and email address on my behalf and operate under their own privacy policies.

During assessment and therapy, I collect personal and sensitive information such as contact details, date of birth, and health-related information where relevant. This information is used solely for therapeutic work, record-keeping, and to meet professional and legal obligations.

Legal Basis for Processing

Personal data is handled only when necessary and appropriate. This may include providing therapy services, maintaining professional records, meeting legal obligations, or, where consent has been given. If you have any concerns about sharing information, these can be discussed before therapy begins.

Data Storage and Sharing

Your information is stored securely using encrypted systems and appropriate safeguards. Data is never sold or rented and is only shared when necessary — for example, with professional service providers, legal or regulatory bodies, or where required to protect safety.

Information is kept only for as long as necessary and is reviewed regularly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve performance. Data collected is anonymised and does not identify individuals. Cookies are managed through the Squarespace platform and can be controlled through your browser settings, although blocking them may affect site functionality. More information can be found at www.aboutcookies.org.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, withdraw consent, or request that your data be transferred elsewhere. To exercise these rights, contact:
